Welcome to Between Frames!
My name is Emalia Turi.
I’m a video artist, climber, skier, and equestrian from the Pacific Northwest.
I grew up on Vashon Island, Washington, homeschooling and spending a large part of my childhood on creative filmmaking and horseback riding. In 2019 I attained my BA in film production from Hofstra University where I interned for film and TV producers at Big Beach, Symbolic Exchange, and Departure films.
I just finished four years of work in marketing asset creation for PetWise brands, deepening my skills in Adobe software and brand storytelling.
During this time I fell in love with climbing and the North Cascades, which sparked an interest in video and photo asset creation for mountain sports.
Currently, I split my time between Squamish, BC, and Patagonia, Chile, where I make documentary video art about athletes who climb and ski.
See you out there!
